If you haven't noticed there is this rad shift in music lately and it is the introduction of female fronted, surf-punk groups. They shred, live on pizza, and are raw as hell. LA Witch is one of these groups. Descibed as "reverb-soaked" and "punked out" the girls prove how hard us gals can rip. Think of them as The Tijuana Panthers cooler kid sisters. Listen up!
FKA TWIGS

Okay, you probably have heard of FKA Twigs by now. She's made the news lately [from her relationship with Robert Pattison to her bondage-inspired video for Pendulum]. If you have yet to listen to her, WELL. FKA Twigs' music is haunting, it doesn't seem of this age. It dares you to look beyond the top 40 and delve into the deeper, more avant garde side of music. Hell, she may even redefine what "Top 40" is.
